Homemade Chocolate Ice-Cream

Who says ice-creams have to be full of cream fat and you always need an ice cream maker to make one… here is an easy homemade ice-cream recipe and it is guilt free : P

400ml milk
150gms chocolate
½ cup sugar
4 egg yolks

• Keep a metal bowl in the freezer
• Melt the chocolate and set aside
• Heat the milk till it simmers, but not boiling
• Whisk the egg yolks and sugar to get a pale yellow color
• Pour a little of hot milk into the egg mixture and whisk to tamper the eggs. Continue adding a couple of spoons of milk at regular intervals till the milk and egg mixture is well combined
• Heat the above mixture to a light boil
• Add melted chocolate and combine it with mixture
• Pour the mixture into the frozen bowl, cool it completely and pop it into the freezer. After 45 minutes, mix the mixture nicely to break any ice forming and put it into the freezer again for 45 min. Then again stir the mixture and freeze the mixture for minimum of 1 and half hour.
